Shenzhen Giesecke+Devrient Currency Automation Systems. Co., Ltd.
GDSZ is a Sino-German joint venture established in 1998 and officially opened in May of the following year. It is located in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone in Guangdong, China, with a branch office in Beijing. Its German shareholder is Giesecke+Devrient Currency Technology GmbH, and its Chinese shareholders are specialized enterprises under the People's Bank of China.
Backed by Germany G+D's advanced currency automation technology, GDSZ has fully utilized its own research and development capabilities to produce and install the world's leading cash processing equipment for the People's Bank of China. Our solutions cover banknote processing, packaging, destruction and storage, our goal is to provide an automated system for pre and post processing of cash in the domestic central bank market. GDSZ has been exploring the domestic banknote processing market for many years. Based on the advanced BPS1000 and BPS M7 banknote processing systems, it has accumulated a wealth of on-site practice and technical experience by running a nationwide service system, based on which the first centralized banknote packaging technology - BPS-Pack, was invented. It becomes one of mainstream configurations of the cash centers of PBoC, and also was named as Nota Pack20(NP20) by G+D Currency Technology GmbH(GDCT) in its global sales catalog, becoming a benchmark for cash center automation projects. GDSZ's research and development extends to cover the entire process of cash recycle. In addition to packaging, it includes automatic banknote feeding, destruction and briquetting, and interconnection of all those functions. GDSZ is also one of the GDCT international-project competence centers. The automation of cash center has become an increasingly popular trend among international central banks and commercial cash processing nstitutions, in which GDSZ has proudly taken part.
Team GDSZ
GDSZ currently has more than 200 employees, located in the Shenzhen headquarters, Beijing branch and the PBOC cash centers where BPS systems are installed. Among them, 73% are college graduates or above, 35% are R&D and production personnel, and 50% are field service engineers. The Team GDSZ is stable and highly qualified with execution and innovation capabilities.

Related departments are the Support Services Department (including the testing department, site support department and IT department), the Product & Technology Department (including the Logistics Solutions Department, Cash Center Solutions Department, Hardware Development Department, Software Development Department, Project Management Department, Quality Department and Production & Installation department) and Logistics Department (including the Materials department, Import and Export Department and Purchasing Department).
Sales and Customer Service
GDSZ serves 53 cash centers of the People's Bank of China, providing customers with full coverage of equipment operation support by an effective national after-sales service system. The Domestic Business Department undertakes this task with its four regional customer service branches, and it is also responsible for sales expansion and pre-sales services in the domestic market.
